When economy is down...lipstick sales are UP!

I was listening to one of my favorite radio shows yesterday and they were talking about lipstick. They said that it has been reported in the Wall Street Journal that when the economy is hurting, then lipstick sales take a major jump. Why might that be you ask? Women have a hard time not buying for themselves and when they are worried about paying the mortgage buying a lipstick is a pretty inexpensive way to indulge.

They also talked about what dropped in sales drastically in a hurting economy...breast jobs, lasik eye surgery and all plastic surgery. I guess these surgeries can be lived without in hard times, but lipstick is a necessity!

So just slap a little lipstick and everything will be ok!

Emmy Awards Trend: Red Lipstick!

See the trend? It is one of Fall's huge trends this year: Red Lipstick!

I wouldn't go with the red lips for everyday wear, but it is a very sophisticated, hot look when dressing up! Red lips will definitely turn heads.

If you want to try this out, here is my suggestion: try on one of many shades at a department store or somewhere that you can see what the lipstick looks like on before you buy, or get an inexpensive one at a drugstore, like Maybelline or Cover Girl.
